Like singing, but too insecure to put your face up on youtube? My cousin from Challenging Promise started this little subproject called Audio Anonymous. The basic idea is that you can send in an audiofile of your singing, which will be put on youtube on the CP account. That way you can get your voice out there anonymously, and see if people like it. If you’re interested, you can read more about the project here. The first anonymous entry is a cover of We Found Love. Tell us what you think… ;)
Anyway, I made the images to fill up the video.

I’m pretty overwhelmed by all the sweet messages and comments, especially this one by miss Dianna herself! Glad my designs+explanation were well-received, ‘cause I was actually quite nervous about sending them in. So thank you all for your kind words!

Last Wednesday I went to the Young The Giant concert in The Hague. Young The Giant has been one the bands I really needed to see live. I bought their album last year and loved every single song on it, which doesn’t happen very often. The gig was amazing and the crowd went nuts, especially during My Body. Definitely a night to remember, hence today’s creation…

There’s this website that I love to visit every once in a while, full of inspiration and positive vibes, called You, Me & Charlie. Over the past few months the site has created this whole new community of likeminded people, which is very nice to see. Today this community is starting with a new 30-day creative challenge. After hearing the words “creative” and “challenge” I obviously wanted to participate. The only problem with these kind of things is that I put way too much time/work into creating something, while I should actually work on school assignments. The coming weeks are of vital importance, to make sure I get to go on to the second year. After that I will be off for the summer and have more time, so I might get back to the challenge then and do it for myself. I did do the first prompt though…
Day 1 - Write your personal manifesto. This could be an essay, a sentence, a word… the beginning of your novel. Get creative. What are you about?
My manifesto is basically a symbol. A symbol I came up with myself, one that has become very dear to me. It is playful way of writing the letters ‘n’ and ‘u’. The ‘n’ flows into a ‘u’ halfway which makes it symmetric. The word “nu” is Dutch for “now”. I write this symbol down for myself whenever I feel like I should be more aware of the present, as I tend to think too much about the past and the future. I might get it tattooed on my wrist some day as a reminder of enjoying the moment and doing things right away instead of procrastinating.
